Where's my fucking vinyl release
Updown Town: If Simcity had Frasier DLC
New Terrain is a beautiful track, in my opinion.
This soundtrack: Allowing people to cheerfully build schools next to prisons and nuclear power plants for decades!
no ones gonna talk about that helicopter that clearly is about to hit the building with its blades?
Jerry Martin was the lead composer for Sim City 3000, The Sims, Sim City 4, and The Sims 2. Basically, this guy composed the music to my childhood. Can't believe all these incredible soundtracks were all from the same person.
22 years later.. this music still soothes the soul. Simply amazing. Missing the maxis team
listening to this while playing skylines. 😉
In 1999 my parents bought a new computer, and Simcity 3000 came bundled with it among other games and software. Before that, we had an ancient 486-DX2 based Packard Bell machine from 1992 or 93. It didn't have a CD-ROM drive, so the only game music I was used to hearing was Adlib/OPL3/MIDI stuff. It was such a mind blowing experience to go from that to the CD-quality music of this game.
yo this slpas]
I got a cd of this when my mother took me to the bank to open my first bank account. A children's bank account came with this absolute gem of a game. I was 6 at the time, and the amount of time I played this must be in the thousands of hours. I still got the copy lying around somewhere. So many good memories
When I was an undergrad I became friends with a guy I met in one of my finance classes and we moved in together during our junior year. We lived together as roommates for two years and had a lot of fun playing computer games in our downtime. We went to UWGB and graduated in Spring of 2007. We stayed in touch after we had moved on from school. He passed away one year ago at the age of 37 when he died in his sleep from a heart attack. When I listen to this Sim City soundtrack, it reminds me of him since he always liked to play Sim City games. He was a high-order kind of guy who studied accounting and became an auditor. I became a professor at a small university. Thanks for being a great friend, Jon. You are missed.
There's a few tracks missing from this
Always loved that first track, but I feel like it needs the director from Whiplash to pop in and be like "NOT MY TEMPO!" XD
This music takes you places.
incredible game incredible soundtrack… makes me tear up. childhood memories…
i remember also the older version of the game, it was in the age of windows 3.11 maybe or 95
Simcity 3000 is top pc game 👍👍
Hands down the most nostalgic parts are Sim Broadway, Concrete Jungle and Illumination <3
SimCity 3000 was always like: your about to go bankrupt..

I am weak
Wow! The nostagia level just smacked though the roof here. Beautiful music and beautiful memories.
Trumps alarm song
Can someone tell me what specific music genre this would fall under? It has features of orchestral jazz free jazz and bop but not quite. There's something else I can put my finger on… something improvisational.
Honestly I have no idea HOW I got this game as a kid but I am so happy I did. I also listen many times since finding this 🙂
